Anne-Laure and Bob live in an old cottage-like home dating from 1750. It’s a two-bedroom house, with a spacious kitchen, a sunny livingroom joining the garden and a large bathroom downstairs. They live in the south-west of the Netherlands, on an island called Walcheren.

Anne-Laure and Bob are huge DIY fans, which has allowed them to do the complete renovation of their historical house all by themselves. It’s a very old house with lots of old woodwork, tiling, beams and floors that provide a great base for the design-loving couple to create a unique interior.

Anne-Laure’s decoration style is a colourful mixture of second hand and antique finds, a bit of English cottage feel, large colourful statements and classic elements. Most of the time she styles the spaces with lots of plants, colour and texture.

Who lives here?

Anne-Laure, 28, is a wedding planner and stylist by trade. She lives together with her husband Bob, 30, who works as a bathroom specialist and does bathroom makeovers from start to finish. They have a little baby boy (7 months) called Aeden.
