With our unique Woodio-material, modern minimalistic design, and a colour palette inspired by Nordic nature, we aim to provide holistic interior concepts for both private homes and public spaces.
Our design philosophy
Our goal is to create highly emotive experiences with our designs. We want to bring joy, beauty, and wellbeing to people´s everyday life. Instead of focusing in designing single items we aim to create unique experiences to entire interior spaces with our products and materials.
Our unique Woodio-material, the ecological wood composite, is the core element to all our products. A modern and minimalistic design accentuates the unique texture of the material. User-centric functionality and timelessness are our key values.
We love to keep things simple but with a touch of luxury. Our products and materials are unique and easy to combine with different interior styles.
We have a carefully considered colour palette that is inspired by the wild Nordic Nature. It´s a collection of intense eye-catchers and softer, calming tones. In addition, we can customize the colours for our project customers according to their wishes. The possibilities are endless.
Our vision is to become a provider of holistic interior concepts and we are constantly expanding our offering, both in terms of products and colours.
All our products cover the needs of both private homes and public spaces.
Our design partner – Pentagon Design
Woodio has worked with Pentagon Design in close collaboration from the very beginning of our story. Collaboration has included product and brand design. Pentagon Design is a Finnish, strategic design office founded in 1996, which has won numerous prestigious prizes in the industry both in Finland and abroad. As a Finnish company, utilizing Finnish design expertise is both self-evident and an honour for us.
Pentagon designed our first basin collections Soft and Cube. the Flow bathtub and Block toilet seat, designed by the same, came later as additions to our product portfolio. All Woodio products create a uniform collection with a consistent design language that can be combined easily together.
Our product designs emphasize the unique and distinctive Woodio-material. Designs also take into account usability, from installation to maintenance.
Woodio products have been widely recognized abroad and they have received international design awards German Design Award in 2021 and Design Plus Award in 2023.

Our constant curiosity on research, top design and market trends is shaping our way of working.
Our design process starts by understanding our customer´s needs while keeping our company vision and focus clear. We have a wide network of highly skilled professionals like architects, interior architects, designers and building developers both in Finland and abroad. Close cooperation with our current and future customers is at the heart of our product development process.
While Woodio as a company is still young, our Woodio team consists of highly experienced professionals with years of experience in the areas of product and portfolio development, product design, brand building, research, and manufacturing. We believe the fruitful teamwork between our inhouse team and external business partners is the way of working that leads to the best result. We could even say that cross-functional collaboration is shaping our company´s culture, as we evolve and move forward.

About us
Behind the story of Woodion lies a seemingly crazy idea and a group of top professionals in their field who wanted to see the world differently. Our original idea was to manufacture wooden tiles for bathrooms, because it sounded fun and challenging.
Recycling
Woodio material is highly durable, and at the end of its lifecycle, Woodio products and sheet materials can be sent to our factory in Finland, where the material is sorted and used as part of cement production.
Woodio® wood composite
The Woodio® material we’ve developed is a completely water-resistant wood composite, designed as a more eco-friendly alternative to ceramics and stone. The material combines wood chips with a resin-based binder.
