Woodio’s patented innovation, a 100% waterproof wood composite is designed to be a sustainable alternative to ceramics and other high carbon footprint materials in sanitaryware and interior decoration. Woodio’s carbon emissions are up to 50% lower than that of ceramic sanitaryware, thanks to an energy-efficient production process. Woodio’s product selection brings together the best of Nordic design traditions, sustainability and an unconventional colour selection.  

Three new shades are introduced this Spring to Woodio’s colour palette called Northern Elements.  

“For the bold decorators, we are launching a delicious pink tone Blossom, which is not only a spot-on answer to the current interior trends but adds a bit of fun to homes and other spaces” – states Johanna Normiala, CTO at Woodio and in charge of the brand’s product portfolio. Blossom has up until now been available on special request only and will now be introduced to the permanent selection due to the growing interest it has received among customers internationally. “The Spring selection additionally includes two calm shades of greige, Linen and Mud, that have been much awaited by our customers” – she continues.  

Woodio continuously develops its material and colour selection to both meet the needs of timeless interior decoration and build on the brand’s unique capability to use colour in an otherwise pale sanitaryware segment. “Using wood as raw material gives us endless colouring possibilities. Our colour selection is what draws attention and makes us stand out from any other sanitaryware brand” – Johanna Normiala concludes.  

New Colours Spring/Summer 2024: 

Blossom – a shade inspired by the lush flower fields, Blossom is the trendy eye-catcher tone of this Spring. For the bold and joyful decorators, who do not want to settle for mild.  

Linen – a delicate and harmonious tone created by a mix of gray and warm beige, Linen is a tone inspired by the Northern fresh summer breeze.  

Mud – a still and earthy shade inspired by soil and stones in the ground, Mud is timeless and ever elegant.  

All three new shades are available in 2mm Aspen wood chip originating from FSC-/ PEFC-certified Nordic forests.
