White in the bathroom has never looked this cosy! Finnish eco-design and bathroom brand Woodio launches their colour of the year 2021 – Polar.
White bathrooms are a classic but going with an all-white monochromatic palette can get dull, fast. Woodio’s new colour of the year 2021 Polar is a warm tone of white with a slight silver undertone. Just like the polar sun peeking through the misty winter sky. This soothing warm shade of white is an excellent colour for keeping an all-white bathroom from feeling too “blah”.
Polar draws its warmth from the material’s core raw ingredient – locally sourced aspen. The colouring process itself is done at the Woodio factory with non-toxic stain colours. Woodio Polar is available throughout the Core product range.
Accompanying the new colour, Woodio also launches two new products – Unit80 integrated washbasin and a multipurpose Hook set – to further expand their bathroom offering for the conscious homeowners. The new Woodio family members stay true to the company’s design philosophy – sustainable Scandinavian functionality, with their environmentally friendly wood material at the heart of the design.

Hotel Jansen Amsterdam Bajeskwartier is a new hotel in Amsterdam, Netherlands, that opened its doors in May 2023. Many of the interior details are locally handmade. The cozy rooms and restrooms of the restaurant are equipped with practical and stylish Woodio washbasins.
The Finnish Forest Association is a co-operation organization for communication about forests that speaks about their sustainable use and invites participation in pluralistic debate about them. Their headquarters are located in Kamppi, at the heart of Helsinki, Finland.
