The home of Anette and Lauri is a brand new house with 93 square meters. The house has been recently finished and is located in Pori, Finland. The open-space living room and kitchen connect to the entrance hall and small dining area. Inside, everything is starting to be ready, but the garden is a project for several years to come. Anette has planned to install a manor-style fountain and a pavilion on the yard.

The decoration style of Anette is classic. She admires the old decorative 19th and early 20th century buildings, manors with fountains and old wooden houses with detailed window frames. Anette also loves the Scandinavian round ceramic stoves that also served as an inspiration for the new home’s masonry fireplace, although being new and having a more efficient heating capacity.

Even though Anette and Lauri chose a turnkey building solution, Anette has designed the house mostly by herself down to every detail. She is very fond of gold detailing and antique pieces, combined with harmonious textiles. Anette has complemented their new home with decorative wall and ceiling moldings and rosettes. She has succeeded well in bringing the old classic style into the new house with modern comforts.

Who lives here

Anette is 29 years old and a cosmetologist by trade. She shares her home with her spouse Lauri, 29, who works as a port guard.
