Marie and Fredrik live in a classic 1960’s house in Southern Sweden, in a small village called Yngsjö. The house is located on an old tobacco plantation, and thanks to that the soil is very good for growing vegetables. Marie feels very lucky about that!

In the beginning of the interior decoration process, the idea was to stick to the 60’s style, but as Marie loves to mix new with old and also change things around, the style has evolved into simply her own. It’s a mixture of new, inherited, modern, retro, stylish and colourful.

Every gadget in the home is carefully selected. Marie also has a hard time getting rid of things, and the storage room in the basement is proof of this.

Who lives here?

Marie, 38, works as a Store Manager at the optical retailer Synsam. She shares the house with her spouse Fredrik, 39, who is a systems engineer by trade. They have two kids: Liam, 18, who is studying economics and Lily, 5.  Not forgetting Bosse the cat!

Why Woodio?

“When we started renovating the basement bathroom, we knew we wanted to do something new, fresh and a little innovative. Nothing that everyone else has done. The choice of sink and details was of course Woodio!”, Marie says.

She continues: “Think that something so stylish is also better for the environment, as it’s made of wood composite – an ecological alternative to ceramics and stone materials. That it’s also shockproof and, in normal use, almost unbreakable. Even better when the bathroom is used by the teenager in the house.”
