Tiinan & Markon koti
Tiina and Marko live in Savonlinna, in an old wooden house built in 1958 and surrounded by beautiful nature. They have lived in the house for 14 years now and have renovated it piece by piece to look more like them.
Tiina describes her decoration style as Scandinavian and relaxed, with clear and timeless lines being the cornerstones of their home. Tiina likes to combine old with new, both in appropriate proportions and in harmony with each other.
Tiina shares her home with her husband Marko, who works in the HVAC industry, their 11-year-old son and their dog Nepi. Tiina herself works in retail. She is an interior designer and visual artist by training.
“I was first introduced to Woodio several years ago at the Habitare Fair. I was already then attracted by the unusual material and fell in love with the simple design language of the products, where the material is shining at the centre. So when I was given the opportunity to get a piece of Finnish design and innovation in my own home, I didn’t think twice about it”, Tiina says.

Hotel Jansen Amsterdam Bajeskwartier is a new hotel in Amsterdam, Netherlands, that opened its doors in May 2023. Many of the interior details are locally handmade. The cozy rooms and restrooms of the restaurant are equipped with practical and stylish Woodio washbasins.
The Finnish Forest Association is a co-operation organization for communication about forests that speaks about their sustainable use and invites participation in pluralistic debate about them. Their headquarters are located in Kamppi, at the heart of Helsinki, Finland.
